Garden Teams
Position Description

Goal of Position : To learn the proper care and maintenance of a                               specific garden area of Cylburn while helping to                               routinely meet garden aesthetic standards.

Sample Activities : All gardening activities are in the scope of work                                 of this position, including planting, weeding,                                 pruning, watering, edging, maintaining paths, etc.

Timeframe :
     
Number of Volunteers: Varies
      Length of Commitment: Minimum of 8 months (growing season)       Estimated Total Hours: 2 - 4 hours per week
      Scheduling: Each garden team has a different set day and time
                          (e.g., Worthley Team meets every Saturday,
                          9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon )

Worksite : Cylburn Arboretum gardens

Qualifications Sought :

          . Must commit to the set day and time of the garden team              assigned with little to no absences
          .Ability to work in small groups
          . Tolerant of variable temperatures
          . Interest in a wide variety of plants
            (previous knowledge helpful but not necessary)
